Back in the USA!!

Well sorry I have been home for about 4 days. It is good to be home, although I miss Costa Rica. Having gallo pinto withdrawls!!. Miss getting on the bus, but am glad to be driving my car. I will miss mjy tica mom she was the best!!. I want to thank NSE for the great opportunity. I am planning on taking my husband to Costa Rica some day for vacation!! What an experience!!

Today was the last day!!

Well I did it and what a great experience!! Finished classes and recieved a certificate!! My tica mom and family were the best!! I will surely miss them!! They called out our names at graduation and then had a Costarican Folkloric dance group perform for us. I will post a video it was nice.. I leave tommorow morning and will be back in Vegas Saturday night!! I recommend this type of study abroad to any body who wants to learn about the culture and the language. Maybe in two years I will apply for Spain!!! Thanks National Spanish Exam and MLSA!!.

Manuel Antonio parte 2

Almost over

Okay my readers, had the most fabulous weekend in Manuel Antonio Beach. It was a 4 hour bus ride but well worth the trip. Saw many monkeys. They are sooo cute, especially when they try to take your stuff off of the beach. We had a racoon and monkey work in cahoots to steal our food, but only managed to take our new bag of chips. They definitly had a party somewhere!! Saw some sloths and a huge lizard. It is hard to believe that I have been here 5 weeks. What a great experience. I will put up some pictures of the hotel where we stayed. Oh yea went with my roomates nice girls!! And the beach and of course some monkeys.

one week left

Wow I can not believe that we only have one more week left!! Wow how time flys!! Well we are off tommorow and we are going to Manuel Antonio National Park where the beaches are fabulous and there are monkeys hanging around. We leave tomorrow morning bright and early 6 am to get to Manuel Antonio in 3 hours. Looking forward to some relaxation and beach time.


Bueno no puedo creer que ya tengo 4 semanas aqui, y solamente falta una!! El tiempo vuela!! No tenemos escuela manana y vamos para Manuel Antonio a la playa. Escuche que hay monos por donde quiera!! Espero tomar muchas fotos!!

Ziplining at Arenal

Well I am back from a nice long weekend in La fortuna Costa Rica, ziplining and seeing the volcano. all was well except we took 10 hours to get there instead of 2 1/2, the stupid bus driver told us the wrong bus!! Lucky for us my roommate just happen to check out the map and found out we were going the wrong way!! We got off one bus and then rode another. Got to La fortuna at 3 pm.

Bueno estoy contenta de haber regresado bien a San Jose de La fortuna donde fui a ver el volcan y hacer canopy (ziplining). Muy divertido, tambien fuimos a las aguas termales muy rico!! Faltan 2 semanas!!

Isla Tortuga

What a weekend, the boat ride to the Island was fabulous, and the beach to die for!!! Was a little adventorous spent the night in Punta Arenas and then spent the day at the beach!!. The beach in Punta Arenas was ok. I do not like black sand too dirty for me but a beautiful day and then watched the the World cup!! Go Espana!!

Bueno que fin de semana muy divertido! La isla Tortuga fue muy bonita! Y el barco estupendo. Fui un poco aventurosa y me quede la noche en Punta Arena despues fuimos el dia siguiente a la playa. No me gusto mucho la playa de alli por la arena negra. No me gusta tanto como la arena blanca.

Wrrk 2, day 3

Wow survived a week! Was great!! walked to school the last two days good but hot!! Maybe I will shed a few pounds!!

Bueno sobrevivi una semana!! Todo bien!! He caminado a la escuela los ultimos dos dias y todo bien pero un calor!!. Haber si pierdo unas cuantas libras!!

Saturday July 3rd

Yesterday went to the Poas Volcano and it was amazing!! Also went to the waterfalls and it was amazing!! Saw some monkeys, toucans and they got on me. Walked alot, I am sore but all is good.

Ayer fuimos al volcan Poas estuvo maravilloso!! Una belleza. Tambien fuimos a las cataratas y fue muy bonito!!! Como llueve aqui!!! Pero todo bien!! Mucha caminada!! Espero delgazar!!

Hola amigos como estan? Llegando a la escuela sin dificultad, tomando el transito publico. Me gustan mis classes bastante!! Este fin de semana voy a un volcan y una cascada. Estoy muy emocionada. Mi mama tica es la senora en elo pantalon azul.

Third day here

Hoy es el tercer dia de estar en Costa Rica!! Mi casa tica es muy agradable y mi mama tica y sus hijos son muy buenos. Tengo 3 companeras son muy simpaticas, La Universidad es muy grande y muy bonita. Hoy fue el primer dia de classes

Okay you english speaking friends!! Today is the third day here in Costa Rica!! My Tica family is very nice, and the house is nice too. I take public transportatiomn and it is pretty cool!! I have 3 roomates and they are very nice.

Almost there!

Faltan 9 dias para mi viaje a Costa Rica. Me falta muy poco para arreglar todo.
